Enjoy footage of Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli trying to don a practice shirt. It’s surprisingly amusing.

Reports have leaked today that a fight between Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and captain Carlos Tevez almost came to blows this weekend.
Apparently, the manager was giving his team an ear-full at halftime of the Newcastle match when the Argentine interrupted and spoke his mind on how the team was set up too defensively.
And when Mancini’s response was “Go f— your mother!”, the two began to charge at one another. It would have come to fisticuffs if the rest of the team hadn’t jumped in the middle and hauled them away from each other.
Once Tevez was seated, the manager finished his rant against the team and stormed out into the tunnel.
Though the two shook hands when the player was substituted during the 2nd half, you’ve got to wonder how this is going to affect Manchester City’s strong form.
If the win against Newcastle was the break-up sex, what might come before the make-up sex?

As if breaking Stuart Holden’s leg in a friendly last year wasn’t enough… And, as if karate-kicking Xabi Alonso in the World Cup final reeeeally wasn’t enough…
Nigel de Jong has done it again.
In Manchester City’s win over Newcastle this weekend, Nigel de Jackass came in hard on Hatem Ben Arfa, breaking his tibia and fibula. Sadly, the tackle wasn’t even penalized.
This guy is a real asshole.
Check out video from his three bruiser moments, all taking place in 2010:

In case you’re unfamiliar with the financial situation with either Manchester United or Liverpool, outspoken British entrepreneur and host of England’s “The Apprentice” Alan Sugar has just given his two cents.
As former chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, club ownership is something with which he’s quite familiar. And he feels there is a bleak outlook for teams like ManU and Liverpool, while it’s nothing but blue skies for Chelsea and ManCity.
This is a lengthy read, but for those interested, here’s what he had to say:
”If you are asking me if foreign owners are good for football then I would have to split them into two categories… There is Roman Abramovich and that bloke from the Middle East [Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan at Manchester City]. To a certain extent [Fulham's] Mohammed Al-Fayed and, although I was not a foreign owner, I would include myself in this category of owners who use their own money to buy football clubs.
“How can you say anything about these foreign owners? Roman Abramovich is passionate about Chelsea and football and he is putting up the money to buy the best players in the world, and now Manchester City are doing the same. Yes, it might be unfair to everyone else, but that’s life, and it hasn’t done much harm to their football clubs, now has it?
“But there is another type of foreign owner: The Glazers and those guys at Liverpool, Hicks and Gillett. Now, I am sorry to have to say this, but they are done. They are gone. They have big problems ahead.

Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez has always been known for some having some pretty crazy-ass hair.
For example, check out the acme of his hair do while with Manchester United:

Well, believe it nor not, Carlitos has decided to get a big boy haircut to show has seriously he takes his captaincy… and to show that ManCity ain’t just a bunch of fools playin’ around!

Many clubs will be making offers for Liverpool’s superstar striker Fernando Torres this summer, but rumor has it that Chelsea will be the first club to make a bid — maybe even within days.
With Liverpool failing to qualify for Champions League football next year, most expect the Spaniard to be looking for a move to a club which will be participating in the top-tier competition. It looked most likely to be Manchester City, with their endless cash stash sure to sway the man… but upon their failure to qualify for the last Champions League spot, they now seem to be long-shots.
Thus, Chelsea see an opening. Real Madrid and Barcelona will surely be interested, as well. But, it looks to be the Blues who will get the bidding started.
Even Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is on board:
“Of course I would welcome Torres… Every time a new player comes here, it makes the club bigger and gives us a lot of strength. If there is a chance for him to come here, he will be welcome, because any help is welcome.”
Torres at his best:
CRACKING HIGHLIGHTS BELOW!!!

Manchester City v. Tottenham
The Race for 4th Spot
For the first time since the 2003/2004 season, a Premier League team outside of the “big four” will qualify for a berth in the UEFA Champions League.
While it doesn’t necessarily all come down to today’s match between the two contenders for 4th spot, today’s winner will almost surely go through to the grand European competition.
It is a huge opportunity for both sides; however, more seems to be hanging in the balance for City. Entrance to the Champions League will surely open the floodgates for the world’s top-class performers. The Mancunian club has the money… they just need to chance to offer a shot at European glory. If Manchester City were to win, the status quo of the Premier League may be flipped on its head.
A win for Tottenham would be a major victory for manager Harry Redknapp who rescued the club from its dire beginning a season ago. Good Ol’ Harry has taken the club from rock-bottom halfway through last season to a shot at 4th spot.
