Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for… The world has been waiting with bated breath, dying to find out which soccer club Justin Bieber supports.
Well, Yanks, he just let us know — loud and clear.
The Biebs was spotted playing a game of “pick-up” soccer earlier this week, and he was decked out in Barcelona gear. Were this casual game of footie taking place in Toronto, you might think: “Ok, he probably likes Barca, but maybe it just happened to be the jersey on the top of the stack.”
But! The location of the game makes his kit selection a major statement of interest. He wore a Barcelona jersey in the streets of Madrid. Gasp! It may not do his image much good before his concert in Spain’s capital this evening, but surely his reception at Thursday’s show in Barcelona will be electric.
Hala Madrid! Right?
Wrong! The Biebs is saying, “Holla, Madrid! Hola, Barcelona!”
For the Beliebers, check out the following video of Boy Wonder playing soccer!

Adidas just released it’s new pulse-pumping television commercial starring Argentina and Barcelona star Lionel Messi. Given the rest of the cast, this is almost certainly an American commercial. And, sadly, most folks who view this will know it as the Derrick Rose / Katy Perry Adidas ad. They probably won’t even notice that Beckham makes a cameo!
Nonetheless, this commercial is thoroughly entertaining. Messi and Rose are bad-asses.
Check out this video submitted by Uncle Paul. It’s a hilarious take on the language barrier that pervades throughout European football. The video makes an example of the many dialects of Spanish and learned English… in the face of a Dutchie.

El Clasico Picante!!!
Pundits may have seen the feistiness coming in yesterday’s match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, but NO ONE could have seen this scoreline coming!
This was truly a Clasico for the ages!

This season’s first Clasico is being billed as “Ronaldo v. Messi,” but any well-informed soccer fan knows that today’s match-up is so much more than that.
This is not a 2-man show with a forgettable supporting cast. No… One would be remiss to forget the likes of Villa, di Maria, Xavi, Casillas, Iniesta, Sergio Ramos, and Puyol.
All of this aside, even the manager head-to-head is intriguing. Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola has dominated Real Madrid while in power, but Jose Mourinho will prove to be a more than formidable foe. The Special One’s Inter Milan managed to best the Catalans in last season’s Champions League. Can he do the same with Europe’s most-storied club?
And is all of this didn’t create enough suspense, the two clubs are within 1 point of one another in the league standings. A victory today could easily be seen as the first step towards winning this year’s title!
Follow the match today! Kickoff is 3:00ET, on ESPN3 (and other various internet sources).

Also, the TV scoreline surely made Real Madrid fans and 13-yr old boys worldwide snicker throughout the game yesterday.
Eff Barcelona! Tee-hee!

How do you feel about Barcelona?
Love them? Hate them?
Find them a bit… how you say?… sexy???
Want to watch the studly superstars get all wet?
Oddly enough, now you can!

It’s official! Barcelona have signed Valencia striker David Villa. The Spaniard had also been linked with Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City… but Barca always seemed the favorites in this campaign.
Rumors also link the club strongly with Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas, but Barcelona have announced today that they will respect the London club’s wishes as to where Cesc will end up next year. More to come on that front.
