Weird. Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport decided to promote it’s paper by hiring actors to fake the warm-up session before this weekend’s match between AC Milan and Bari. Interesting, funny, and… weird.

Dear Zlatan,

Nobody likes you. Not only have you bounced from team to team over the past few years, but now… now, you’ve gone and done the unthinkable. You’ve pissed off the one and only Gooch! I mean, he may look beastly, but he’s totally one of those “big teddy bear” types. I wonder how many of your teammates tried to stop Gooch from beating yo a$$… one? none? No one likes you. You’re clearly your #1 fan. We’re still searching for #2. You suck. Behave yourself in next week’s practices… otherwise you might get GOOCHED!

Love,
The World

Background:

AC Milan’s vice-president, Adriano Galliani, has dismissed [last week's] fight (between Oguchi Onyewu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic) as a minor matter.

“It was a fairly lively fight, it happens when there is a rough challenge,” he told Sky Sport 24.

“The players have been talked to. The incident is now over.”

In a move to stay on-board with one of the world’s top teams, USA’s Oguchi Onyewu decided to show a little class and a lot of commitment with club team AC Milan.

The Italian club released the following news on it’s official website:

“USA international Oguchi Onyewu, who is coming off a season of rehabilitation following a long injury which has forced him to stay off the pitch for the whole season, but is now ready to face the World Cup with his national team, made a very significant gesture from a human and professional point of view today. Assisted by his lawyer, Jean Louis Dupont, Onyewu asked for, and received, a one-year contract extension from Milan, from 30 June 2012 to 30 June 2013. During this extra year, Oguchi Onyewu, by his choice, much appreciated by the Rossoneri club, has asked not to receive any kind of salary. This is an exemplary gesture which deserves sincere congratulations.

The cover story of Brazil’s celebrity mag Quem breaks the news that AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato is suffering from marital turbulence with his FINE wife, Sthefany. Apparently, the striker has been clubbin’ a bit too much with full-of-vices teammate Ronaldinho — who was basically let go by Barcelona for having partied too much.

PATO! Get it together, man! The girl is FINE!!!

David Beckham’s World Cup dreams look to have been torn to pieces along with his Achilles tendon during Sunday’s match in Milan. As Becks pulled up to make an unchallenged cross, he felt a rip and went to ground.

“It’s broken! It’s broken!” he announced in dismay as he passed the AC Milan bench on his way to the dressing room.

As the reality set in that this would most likely end his dream of making yet ANOTHER world cup, he let loose those famous crocodile tears that have rumbled to the surface after many an injury or red card.

Opine what you may about the man, but that SUX!

Despite David Beckham flaunting his fashonista side with that HOTT green and gold scarf, Wayne Rooney stole the show with a brace.

1. ManU advance past perennial powerhouse AC Milan.
2. Becks shows his support for the little man.
3. Rooney nets a brace.

This day will go down as a Mancunian wet dream!!!
