As reported on FANunited earlier this week, Rafa Benitez and Liverpool parted ways on mutual terms. It may not be true in historic terms, but in current reality, the Spaniard just wiggled himself into a MAJOR upgrade. Run a world class club into the ground — failing to even qualify for the Champions League — and then get handed the reigning European champions?
Not a bad deal.

It’s fiiiiiiiiiiinally official! The Special One is the coach of Europe’s most successful team, Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho was unveiled as the club’s manager in a press conference on Monday. Unbelievably, he is the 11th coach in 7 years for the Spanish side. The combination of the world’s most famous club and the world’s most famous manager is mouth-watering to say the least.
Fasten your seatbelts, folks. This is going to get interesting!

It’s been a long time comin’, but Real Madrid have finally sacked manager Manuel Pellegrini, despite his having lead the team to an all-time high on points.
Ever since he defeated rivals Barcelona in the Champions League, the club’s management have their sights set on Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho.
Now that the seat is empty, there is little question who will fill it.
The Special One looks to be taking over the most successful European club in history.

Inter Milan enter the match as favorites having fought off the brutalizing attack of title-holders Barcelona. “The Special One” Jose Mourinho has proven his worth as a tactical mastermind… This combined with a deadly attack in Milito and Eto’o is what make Inter favorites.
Bayern Munich would look much more fearsome if it weren’t for missing playmaker Franck Ribery, who has been suspended after seeing a red card for a nasty tackle against Lyon. Never count out the Bavarians, though… With Arjen Robben at the helm of their attack, anything is possible. Bayern held off Manchester United, let’s not forget. (If you missed Robben’s killer blow against United, you MUST watch it now!)
Each team enter the match with the opportunity to win a massive treble — each having already won their domestic league and domestic cup.
Jose Mourinho has famously declared that winning the Champions League is a greater honor than winning the World Cup.
