In response to yesterday’s ultimatum from Juventus, Liverpool’s Rafa Benitez had his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, release a few shifty comments:
“The intention of Benitez is to fulfil the contract he has until 2014…
“But it’s true the club is subject to fluctuations in their financial situation… They could influence the future of the club, and therefore Benitez as well.”
He also reported that there had been no offers yet made by Real Madrid.

Reports have broken in Europe that Italian giants Juventus have given Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez a 10-day ultimatum on deciding whether or not he will take the reigns of their club this summer.
Benitez is feeling the heat on Merseyside… and this link has been rumored for months… With Liverpool not wanting to pay to fire Rafa… And Rafa possibly unhappy where he is… this deal could well go through. And in a rare moment, all parties might come out happy.
However, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid have something to say about all of this.
In honor of Juve putting their fist down, a little ditty:

With time running thin… and extra-time looking more and more likely… The Deuce (Clint Dempsey) stuck a dagger into the heart of Juventus and twisted, lifting Fulham into the Europa League quarterfinals.
Juventus headed into the match with a 3-1 home victory over Fulham.
