The floodgates opened in Mexico last night. Real Salt Lake played away to Cruz Azul in their 2nd game of the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) group stage. Their hope of hopes was to become the first MLS team to win a meaningful game in Mexico.
Could they do it? Ride the roller-coaster to find out!

The Champions League qualification tie between Tottenham and Young Boys was “beautifully poised” heading into the 2nd Leg. The Swiss side had the outright lead, but the North Londoners had home field advantage and two away goals in their pocket. Expectations for an exciting match were high… and they were met.

Champions League Final
Bayern Munich v. Inter Milan
2:45pm ET – Sat May 22nd
LIVE on FOX !!!
For the first time ever, the Champions League final will be broadcast on network television. <Americans collectively do a silent fist pump.>
Inter Milan enter the match as favorites having fought off the brutalizing attack of title-holders Barcelona. “The Special One” Jose Mourinho has proven his worth as a tactical mastermind… This combined with a deadly attack in Milito and Eto’o is what make Inter favorites.
Bayern Munich would look much more fearsome if it weren’t for missing playmaker Franck Ribery, who has been suspended after seeing a red card for a nasty tackle against Lyon. Never count out the Bavarians, though… With Arjen Robben at the helm of their attack, anything is possible. Bayern held off Manchester United, let’s not forget. (If you missed Robben’s killer blow against United, you MUST watch it now!)
Each team enter the match with the opportunity to win a massive treble — each having already won their domestic league and domestic cup.
Jose Mourinho has famously declared that winning the Champions League is a greater honor than winning the World Cup.
Who will take the glory?

CRACKING HIGHLIGHTS !!!

Chelsea v. Portsmouth
FA Cup Final
Wembley Stadium, London
The Premier League dealt with Chelsea and Portsmouth in very different fashions this year. Chelsea are champions at the top of the table… and Portsmouth landed in dead-last after their 9-point penalty for going into administration (bankruptcy claim).
All of this meant nothing, however, in Saturday’s match. The slate was clean. One day. One winner.
